2008 MERCEDES-BENZ CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD FEATURES 35 WINNERS
KAPALUA RESORT, MAUI, HAWAI'I — Thanks to victories during the 2007 official money season, 35 PGA TOUR professionals have qualified for the PGA TOUR-opening, 2008 Mercedes-Benz Championship at The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort in Hawai‘i, January 3-6. The winners-only tournament features a $5.5 million purse, with the winner taking home $1.1 million, Tiffany Trophy and a 2008 Mercedes-Benz CL550.
Fans can watch Vijay Singh defend his 2007 title live in prime time as The Golf Channel will telecast approximately 13.5 hours of the tournament from 7-10:30 p.m., January 3-5, and from 7-10 p.m. January 6.
