Hyundai to reward player and caddie with car for hole-in-one at No. 8 during Hyundai Tournament of Champions

Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii (December 11, 2014) – When players step up to eighth hole at the 2015 Hyundai Tournament of Champions, there will be more on the line than in previous years.
When a player makes a hole-in-one on No. 8 during any of the four days of competition, he will win two brand new Hyundai vehicles; one for himself and the other for his caddie.
This is the first time on the PGA TOUR that an automobile sponsor has provided this opportunity to the competitors.
If a hole-in-one is made, Hyundai will award the player a 2015 Genesis 5.0, and the caddie will receive a 2015 Santa Fe Sport. The Genesis strikes the balance of power and style with all-new technology like HTRAC All-Wheel Drive and safety features designed to proactively help keep drivers safe from multiple angles. The popular Santa Fe Sport is the perfect combination of performance, capability and comfort. The award-winning crossover features a spacious interior, premium technology and advanced safety features.
The eighth hole at the Kapalua Resort Plantation Course is a 203-yard par 3 over a canyon that is protected by five greenside bunkers. Lucas Glover is the only player to record a hole-in-one during the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Resort, which he made on the eighth hole with a 5-iron during the third round in 2006.
A special Champions Clubhouse weekly ticket package is currently available for a limited time. The package, priced at $200, includes Clubhouse access for two, Friday-Monday of tournament week, with one preferred parking pass "P" for parking right at the course. This package and all other ticket options are available at
The Hyundai Tournament of Champions Official Pro-Am is taking place from January 7-8 and is the only Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR that guarantees participants will be paired with a tournament winner. In addition to the rare opportunity to play with PGA TOUR stars, participants will also play both courses at one of the most famous stops on TOUR.  For more information, please contact Nancy Cross at (808) 665-9160 or
All four competitive rounds will be broadcast on Golf Channel. Follow the tournament on Facebook at or on Twitter and Instagram @HyundaiTOC to get updates and a behind-the-scenes look at the tournament preparations.
