Ben Martin and Robert Streb the latest to add names to list of Hyundai Tournament of Champions qualifiers

Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii (October 29, 2014) In the early stages of the 2014-15 PGA TOUR season, Americans Ben Martin and Robert Streb both earned their first career victories at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and the McGladrey Classic, respectively, and are now qualified for the 2015 Hyundai Tournament of Champions. The winners-only event returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from January 8-12.

Martin, a 27-year-old from Greenwood, S.C., sealed his first victory in his 56th career start at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open with a 46-foot eagle putt on the 16th hole in the final round. The win qualifies him for his first start at the Kapalua Resort.

Closing with a career-low 63 on the final day, Streb defeated Brendon de Jonge and Will MacKenzie in a playoff at the McGladrey Classic. Streb, also 27 years old, is from Oklahoma and joins Martin in qualifying for his first Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

“We have an exciting and diverse list of qualifiers for this year’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions,” said Executive Director Nancy Cross. “Whether on site at the breathtaking Plantation Course here in Maui or watching from across the globe on Golf Channel’s telecast, golf fans are going to thoroughly enjoy watching this year’s action with a mix of up-and-coming stars and established PGA TOUR veteran champions.”
