POIPU, KAUAI, HAWAII – Poipu Bay Golf Course, located on Kauai’s sunny south shore, has introduced a 9-hole rate for visitors who want to make the most of their time on Kauai.

“We realize that a full round of golf can take up a large part of the day, and visitors often have limited time,” says Poipu Bay’s Director of Golf, Craig Sasada.  “Our new 9-hole option allows golfers to experience the course, but still have time to hit the beach in the afternoon or go sightseeing with family.”

The 9-hole rate is $95 and includes shared golf cart and use of the driving range. (The 18-hole green fee at Poipu Bay is $220.)  The 9-hole rate is valid for tee times between 7 and 9 a.m., and tee time reservations can be made up to seven days in advance.Some restrictions apply.

Poipu Bay is an 18-hole championship course, situated on 210 oceanfront acres on Kauai’s southern coast. A Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, Poipu Bay has, over the years, won numerous awards and has been consistently rated among the top golf courses in Hawaii and the U.S. From 1994 through 2006, Poipu Bay hosted the annual PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the prestigious competition between the four major championship winners of each year.
