The Makena Resort on Maui features two 18-hole layouts with the South Course currently not in operation as it is being renovated under the supervision of the architect Robert Trent Jones JR. The North Course climbs up the slopes of the dormant volcano, Haleakala to an elevation of over 700 ft and offers breathtaking views of the ocean and the islet, Molokini. Architect Jones JR will lure the best golfers into taking some chances here.
